Description
We are seeking a highly experienced, senior-level SAP Project Manager (S4Hana) to lead complex, large-scale global deployments of SAP S/4HANA. This pivotal role requires a seasoned professional with a minimum of 10 years of experience in SAP functional roles and project management, specifically managing end-to-end S/4HANA implementation lifecycles. The successful candidate will be responsible for orchestrating project timelines, managing cross-functional teams, overseeing budget adherence, and utilizing project management tools like JIRA to ensure the successful delivery of our global SAP initiatives on time and within scope. This is a critical leadership position for driving our organization’s digital transformation via the S/4HANA platform.
Key responsibilities
- Project Leadership & Execution: Lead and manage all phases of the SAP S/4HANA implementation lifecycle, including planning, blueprinting, realization, testing, cutover, and post-go-live support across various global functional areas.
- Scope & Governance Management: Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with senior stakeholders. Implement robust governance procedures to manage changes in scope, mitigate risks, and address issues effectively.
- Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for project communications, providing regular, transparent updates to executive leadership and global teams regarding project status, milestones, resource allocation, and potential roadblocks.
- Team & Resource Coordination: Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of multiple large-scale SAP projects, ensuring resource
- Tool & Methodology Utilization: Utilize project management software, specifically JIRA, to track project progress, manage backlogs, monitor issues, and facilitate agile or hybrid methodologies throughout the deployment cycle.
- Budget & Quality Control: Ensure technical and functional requirements are met while adhering strictly to project budgets and maintaining high standards of quality assurance.
Required qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 10+ years of comprehensive experience in SAP environments, with a significant portion spent in a functional role leading global deployments.
- S/4HANA Expertise: Proven, hands-on project management experience with multiple full-lifecycle implementations of SAP S/4HANA is mandatory.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong command of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid) and high proficiency with project management tools, specifically JIRA, for tracking and reporting purposes.
- Scale & Scope: Demonstrated success managing large-scale, complex, cross-functional global IT projects within multinational organizations.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional leadership, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Must be adept at managing diverse global stakeholders and resolving conflicts efficiently.
- Education/Certifications: A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field is required. PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent SAP certification (e.g., SAP Certified Project Manager) is highly preferred.
